AAAE Joins New Initiative to Accelerate Transition to Unleaded Aviation Gasoline February 23, 2022 This afternoon, AAAE (American Association of Airport Executives) joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and groups from the aviation and petroleum industries to announce the creation of the Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative, a public-private partnership between the federal government and industry stakeholders to transition to lead-free aviation fuel, known as avgas, for piston-engine aircraft by the end of 2030. Passing of Barry Lerman

Barry S. Lerman, 64, of Pinehurst, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, in Bradenton, Fla., surrounded by his loving family. Barry was raised in Middlebury, Conn., and was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Roslyn Lerman. He was a graduate of The Gunnery in Washington, Conn., and Bryant College, in Providence, R.I. Following a brief sales career, he cofounded his own companies, Lerman Container and Custom Bottle.
