
The Moore County Airport, along with Dugan, Briggs and Associates, will host a jump for U. S. Veteran Colonel Hal Shook. Colonel Shook will jump with Mike Elliott, Director of Parachute Operations for Dugan, Briggs and Associates. Mike is the tandem instructor that jumped the 41st President George H. Bush on two occasions.

Colonel Hal Shook was a Fighter Pilot in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam with over 105 combat missions. He has received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with nineteen Oak Leaf clusters, Presidential Unit Citation, Belgian Croix De Guerre, French Croix De Guerre with Palm, Belgian Fourragere, Commendation medal with cluster and the Legion of Merit. Colonel Shook was recently presented the Legion of Honor by the French Government.
Colonel Shook’s jump will be cause for another milestone celebration…..his 92nd birthday!
Jump Operation is scheduled around 11:00 a.m. and other events will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Hot dogs will be available for those in attendance.
